How to Become Registered Nurse?

Working in the field that is related to medical care for human, like doctor or nurse is honorable. People with those jobs are on duty to treat patients from their diseases or make people healthy. The point is they more likely have high social concern. Are you interested in working in that field? If you are, being a Registered Nurse (RN) can be the right option. That job is enthused by many people in US. With that job, you’re on duty to treat and give advice to patient. About the area, if you become a registered nurse you can work at hospital, clinic, and medical office, school, etc. Here are the steps to be RN.

Certainly, you must graduate high school. It’s better if your biology, anatomy, psychology, chemistry, and math’s scores are good or you’re good at those subjects so you can study at college in order to be a nurse, especially RN easily. After graduating high school, to become RN, you must obtain either Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) or a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN). Just choose which that attracts you. The point is when ADN or BSN is on your hand, you can become RN.

Preferring ADN, you need to allocate two years to study after high school. Usually, community colleges offer that program. While BSN, like other bachelor degrees, it takes four years. For this, many colleges and universities that offer BSN program you can register to. After graduating the ADN or BSN, then could you become RN and start working? Actually, you couldn’t yet. There is a step to be done. What is it? You must get RN license by passing National Council Licensure Examination Registered Nurse (NCLEX-RN). Just pass that exam successfully. After that you can start looking for a job as RN. Earn its annual salary that is more than $50.000.

After becoming an RN, you can also continue your study or even get another nursing degree. Remember that studying never ends. Besides, you can always expand your knowledge by joining nursing seminars and also subscribe and read nursing magazines. For this, Nursing 2013 is one of the right magazines you must have as a nurse especially RN. It’s good for nursing students as well as people that work as a nurse.  In addition, you can also sometimes be a volunteer for disaster victims. You might not be paid but experience cannot be bought and helping people is always meaningful, right?
